Divisional Series Game 1 Victory for Boddicker and Colorado
The Divisional Series got off to a quiet start today, with the host Colorado Rockies taking a low-scoring 2-1 win over the South Side White Sox. Colorado right-hander Mike Boddicker was marvelous at Astrodome and was named player of the game. The Rockies now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Colorado took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, third baseman Eric Chavez hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"By the skin of our teeth, man," Chavez told the Colorado Bulletin. "But hey, it still counts. A few more by the skin of our teeth is fine with me."

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Freddy Garcia for South Side and Glendon Rusch for Colorado.
