Friday, October 24th, 1969
The Colorado Rockies will continue the trek towards a World Series title, while the Chicago Cubs are headed home for the season.

Colorado won the League Championship Series with a clinching game 6-5 victory at Astrodome, concluding the series at 4-2.

"We didn't want this thing to go any further, that's for sure," Jim Edmonds said after officially being named series MVP.

He turned in a dominant offensive performance to win the award, with a .364 batting average, .481 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored.

The Colorado Rockies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the New York Mets - Boston Red Sox series. New York leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
