Orioles Captures Wild Card
Monday, October 6th, 1969
Those who like late-season drama have no doubt enjoyed watching the Baltimore Orioles this season.
The American League Up club today wrapped up a wild card victory, with precious little time to spare in the season.
"Better late than never right? I don't think our team ever stopped believing we'd make the playoffs," said starting pitcher Mat Latos.
The team's 83-79 record will see them off to the postseason, with a chance to win the 1st Fellowship of Respect and Trust championship in franchise history.
