Rockies Win Tight National League Right Race
Sunday, October 5th, 1969
Members of the Colorado Rockies say winning the National League Right title is special, but ultimately they will only be remembered with a championship season.
"We want to put ourselves in the history books and win the World Series," said reliever Scott Patterson. "We all believe it can happen, it's just a matter of putting in the hard work and getting the breaks."
It's the 2nd division win for the club and they will be vying for their 1st World Series win.
"To see the team get here, it makes you believe in yourself and all the systems you've put in place," said manager Ben Thompson.
