Nieman Claims AL Batter of the Month Award Wednesday, October 1st, 1969 On the heels of a very productive September, Bob Nieman received American League Batter of the Month recognition today. The battle-tested left fielder hit .371 for the Bronx Yankees and racked up 5 home runs, 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored. This year Nieman is batting .311 with 160 hits and 20 home runs. He has scored 83 times and has batted in 71 runs. |
