Holt Wins AL Player of the Week Prize Monday, September 8th, 1969 At the age of 26, Brock Holt might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Brooklyn third baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .357 batting average. For his efforts Holt collected the American League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 10 hits in 28 at-bats, 1 home run and 2 RBIs last week in 6 games. This season Holt has hit at a .321 clip with 51 RBIs, 5 home runs and 66 runs scored. |
