Latos Sensational for Orioles
|
Mat Latos never let the Yankees get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Orioles to a 3-1 win. The second-place Yankees have dropped 4 straight games.
Latos, the winner, is now 13-9. In 9 innings of work, he gave up 1 earned run on 4 hits, while collecting 7 Ks. He essentially shut down the Bronx offense.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Bronx manager Cley Twigg.
