Braun Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
|
Steve Braun had an answer for everything the South Side White Sox threw at him today at Comisky Park. The Boston third baseman went 5-for-5 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Red Sox on top, 7-0.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Braun said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Steve Braun doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and walked in a run in the 9th.
In the current season, Braun has put up a .271 batting average with 113 hits, 6 home runs, 47 runs batted in and scored 61 runs.
