Marlins Lose to Expos, 3-0
|
Behind a solid performance from shortstop Francisco Lindor, the Montreal Expos defeated the Miami Marlins, 3-0. Lindor was 1 for 2 with a walk for the Expos. Pat Caraway, credited with the win, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.1 innings. The Expos, at 52-62, sit in second place in the National League Left.
Montreal took a 3-0 lead on Miguel Cabrera's 23rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Cabrera hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Miami pitcher Brad Bergesen shaking his head.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Cabrera.
