Yankees Whitewashed by Donovan
|
Bronx dropped a 6-0 shutout to Dick Donovan and the New York Mets at Shea Stadium today. The Yankees offered little resistance to Donovan, who stopped them on 2 hits, fanned 3 and walked 2.
"It just felt right today," the right-handed Donovan told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
This season Donovan has crafted a 10-6 mark with a 3.38 ERA in 122.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .245 against him and he has 56 strikeouts.
