Davis Whitewashes Miami
|
Doug Davis was dynamite at Turner Field today, blowing away the Miami Marlins in a shutout victory. The Arizona Diamondbacks starter had everything working as he held the Marlins to 2 hits in the 6-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Miami skipper Kyle Shea. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Davis finished the game with 8 strikeouts and no walks.
For this year Davis has chalked up 11 wins and 6 losses in 21 starts with 118 strikeouts in 156.2 innings and a 3.33 ERA.
