Orioles Win at Brooklyn, 4-1
|
Baltimore Orioles starter Francisco Cordova was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Brooklyn Dodgers, 4-1. Cordova went 8.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 9-5. The Orioles bumped their record to 52-51 with this latest triumph.
It could have been a different outcome for Baltimore, had it not been for Tom Herr, the 24-year old second baseman . Herr contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Baltimore up, 2-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Cordova.
