Expos Lose to Brewers, 4-0
|
Milwaukee right-hander Doug Drabek pitched his team to a shutout win, 4-0, over the Montreal Expos. In 6.2 innings, Drabek surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. The Brewers sit in last place in the National League Right with a record of 37-65.
Milwaukee took a 3-0 lead on Danny Murtaugh's 20th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Murtaugh hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Montreal pitcher Steve Dunning shaking his head.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said Brewers manager Michael Ejercito. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
