Brewers Lose to White Sox in Walk Off
|
The South Side White Sox defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-7, in National League action at Comisky Park, with South Side catcher Dick Brown named player of the game. South Side reliever Doug Jones got the win, raising his record to 2-3. Scott Atchison was tagged with the loss. Milwaukee's current losing streak has reached 6 games.
Brown had a game-changing single in the bottom of the 12th. On a 0-1 fastball from Scott Atchison, he banged a run-scoring single to center, giving the White Sox a 8-7 lead. It was the 52nd hit of the year for Brown.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Brown.
