Royals Prevail, 5-4, Over Milwaukee
|
The umbrellas came out during the Kansas City-Milwaukee contest at Kauffman Stadium.
Starting pitcher Bryan Rekar pitched well enough to help the Kansas City Royals beat the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 5-4. Kansas City is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 9 games.
Bob L Bowman, who finished 3rd in the AL in doubles with 39 in 1959, aided the Kansas City cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Milwaukee manager Michael Ejercito.
