The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Diamondbacks, striking out 6 and surrendering 4 hits. The performance from Keenan allowed Brooklyn to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense.
"Nobody came to me and said 'Jimmie, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Keenan told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
Keenan has no saves this season with a won-lost record of 6-5 and 2.62 ERA.
