Royals Rally For Late Win Over Yankees
|
Kansas City Royals starter Bob Sebra was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Bronx Yankees, 3-2. Kansas City is last in the National League Left with a record of 29-47.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher J R Murphy came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Bronx pitcher Omar Daal, he hit a 1-0 curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Kansas City on top, 3-2.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Kansas City manager Mike Roltgen. "Our pregame was pretty good."
