Bronx Yankees starter Matt Young turned in a top-notch performance against the Montreal Expos at Yankee Stadium I. The result was a win for the Yankees, 2-1. Don Mossi was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 13 of 14 save opportunities. Bronx improves to 37-35 with the win. They lead their division by 2 games.

Greg O'Halloran had a big run-scoring double for the Yankees in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Bronx leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Snipe Hansen and stroked the double to left. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Yankees ahead, 2-0.

"We found a way to get it done," O'Halloran said.
