|
Detroit right-hander Hal Gregg made an effective start against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Tiger Stadium, leading his team to a 3-0 win. Detroit is in third place in the National League Left with a record of 25-40.
The Tigers prevailed in a game in which the pitchers had the upper hand.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Gregg.
