Colorado Rockies starter Bob Cain was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the New York Mets, 5-3. The Rockies bumped their record to 32-26 with this latest triumph.

Colorado used the timely hitting of Jim Edmonds to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the third inning to put the Rockies on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

Edmonds called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
