New York catcher Josh Willingham was sensational. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Colorado beat the Mets, 6-5. Willingham was named the player of the game despite the loss. Colorado goes to 31-26, New York to 34-22.

The result might have been different for Colorado, had it not been for Andy Stankiewicz. The second baseman produced a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rockies ahead, 6-0. For the game, Stankiewicz had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Colorado manager Ben Thompson.
