Royals Rally For Late Win Over Orioles
|
Kansas City and Baltimore duked it out at Camden Yards and the Royals came out victorious.
The Baltimore Orioles got a superb performance from pitcher Noah Syndergaard. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Kansas City. The Royals won the game, 6-3. In spite of the loss, Syndergaard was named the player of the game. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. The win was Huston Street's in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Noah Syndergaard took the loss for Baltimore.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Loren Babe, the 29-year old second baseman . Babe contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Kansas City up, 5-3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Babe told a Kansas City Citizen reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
At 21-32, the Royals are currently last in the National League Left.
