It wasn't easy but the Colorado Rockies made it look that way.

Starter Chris R Young shut out the Detroit Tigers despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Colorado Rockies cruised to victory, 6-0. Young allowed only 4 hits and rang up 11 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

To date Young is 6-4 in 10 starts with a 2.53 ERA and has 60 strikeouts in 74.2 innings.
