Peterson Now 3-5 After Subduing Yankees
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Kent Peterson, who muffled the Bronx offense en route to a tight 1-0 Diamondbacks win at Chase Field. The Yankees, now 26-24, have lost 4 straight.
Peterson allowed no runs over 8 innings. He also racked up 6 strikeouts.
"Kent's tempo and rhythm were good," said Diamondbacks manager Alex Baxter. "He was the key to us winning."
