Yankees Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Boston
|
The Bronx Yankees topped the Boston Red Sox, 6-3, in American League action at Fenway Park. The player of the game was Bronx pitcher David Palmer. The winning streak has now reached 7 games for Bronx.
Bronx used the clutch hitting of Jeff Branson to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to give the Yankees the lead, 4-2. For the game, Branson had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"Slowly but surely, the wins are piling up," said Palmer.
