Royals Win at Milwaukee, 4-2
|
Kansas City Royals starter Tyler Lyons turned in an exceptional performance against the Milwaukee Brewers at County Stadium, resulting in a Kansas City win, 4-2. Getting the save was Happy Foreman, his 3rd. At 18-26, Kansas City is in last place in the National League Left.
Kansas City needed the clutch hitting of Alvin Davis to notch the win. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royals on top, 3-2. For the game, Davis had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Milwaukee manager Michael Ejercito said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
