Getting a good performance from designated hitter Stan Musial, the Bronx Yankees defeated the New York Mets, 7-6. Musial went 3 for 3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Yankees. The winner was Don Mossi in relief. His record improves to 1-3. Cam Bedrosian took the loss.
