Royals Win at Brooklyn, 4-1
|
Bob Sebra pitched a gem to lead Kansas City to a 4-1 victory over the Brooklyn Dodgers. Sebra, now 2-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 1 earned run. The third-place Royals have won 4 straight.
It could have been a different outcome for Kansas City, had it not been for Ted Kazanski, the 21-year old shortstop . Kazanski contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Kansas City up, 2-1.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Kazanski.
