Kansas City Royals starter Dick Drott kept the Miami Marlins hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 9-0 win. Kansas City has now won 3 in a row.

Ty Cline had a big 2-run double for the Royals in the bottom of the first inning. With Kansas City leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Brandon Cumpton and stroked the double to right. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Royals ahead, 3-0.

Cline told a Kansas City Citizen reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
