The Colorado Rockies defeated the New York Mets, 5-3 in Game 4 of the World Series today. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Steve R Ontiveros, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The win moves Colorado into a 2-2 tie with New York in the series.

Colorado grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, Anthony Gose delivered a 2-run single, to make it 4-2 in favor of the Rockies.

Ontiveros told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.

Game 5 is scheduled for tomorrow at Astrodome in Denver. The scheduled starters for the game are Jay Tibbs for the New York Mets and Chris R Young for the the Colorado Rockies.
