Nunnally, Rockies Wallop Mets in Game 2 of WS
Colorado right fielder Jon Nunnally produced all the offense the Rockies would need today in the club's 6-2 win over the New York Mets.

Nunnally went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 and was named player of the game, while Colorado moved into a tie in the World Series. The Rockies and Mets are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The Rockies took a 5-0 lead in the top of the third inning. Facing New York hurler Jimmie Keenan with two outs, Nunnally hit a grand slam home run.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Nunnally. "And not try to do too much."

The next game is scheduled for Thursday at Astrodome. The scheduled starters for the game are Dick Donovan for New York and Glendon Rusch for Colorado.
