Rockies Clip Cubs 3-2 in LCS Contest
The Colorado Rockies topped the Chicago Cubs by the score of 3-2 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the League Championship Series today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and Colorado starter Glendon Rusch, who threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball in the win.

Colorado used the timely hitting of Jim Edmonds to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rockies on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but he made it count.

"It was a good win," Colorado manager Ben Thompson told BNN reporters after the game. "I told them I was proud of them. These guys are professional ballplayers, they know how to get motivated without my help."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow in Chicago. The scheduled starters for the game are Ben Sheets for Colorado and Fritz Peterson for Chicago.
