Lahoud, Cubs Sink Rockies Again in Game 2
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Joe Lahoud, the Chicago Cubs got a road win against the Colorado Rockies, 17-5, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series today. Lahoud was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Cubs, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Chicago needed the clutch hitting of Giancarlo Stanton to notch the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Cubs on top, 3-0. For the game, Stanton had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It was a good win," Chicago manager Matt Ida told BNN reporters after the game. "I told them I was proud of them. These guys are professional ballplayers, they know how to get motivated without my help."

The next game is scheduled for Monday in Chicago. Slated to start are Chris R Young for Colorado and Kyle Gibson for Chicago.
