Divisional Series Goes the Distance, Chicago Prevails
|
The Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates hooked up in a classic Divisional Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Chicago heading off to the League Championship Series, after a 7-6 win at Wrigley Field tonight earned the 4-3 series win.
Outside Wrigley Field, whether they were supporters of Chicago or Pittsburgh, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Terry Steinbach played the hero for the Cubs in the series, as his MVP performance included a .370 batting average, with a .393 on-base percentage. He also had 3 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The Chicago Cubs will play against the Colorado Rockies in the next round. Colorado won their series against the South Side White Sox 4 games to 2. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.\n
