Pirates Even With Cubs After Extra-Innings Win
Chicago catcher Terry Steinbach pounded Pittsburgh pitchers at PNC Park, but it was not enough to keep the Cubs from losing in a walk-off. The Pirates fell 6-5 in Game 4 of the Divisional Series. Steinbach was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once and was named player of the game for his efforts, even as he saw the Cubs slip into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

The Pirates were down to their final out when center fielder Vada Pinson turned a full count fastball from Craig Kimbrel into a 2-run double. The walk-off double made the PNC Park crowd go wild.

"That was fun but I'll be happy with a nice, safe win next time," Pittsburgh manager Cory Einhorn said.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Pittsburgh. Slated to start are Fritz Peterson for the Chicago Cubs and James Paxton for the the Pittsburgh Pirates.
