Baltimore Wins at Home to Narrow Series Deficit to 2-1
|
The Baltimore Orioles have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading New York Mets, winning 5-2 at Camden Yards today. Orioles right-hander Noah Syndergaard was named player of the game after he threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Orioles to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
Syndergaard allowed no earned runs on 6 hits over 9 innings for the Orioles. He walked 0 and struck out 11.
"It feels good to get this one," Syndergaard told the Baltimore Daily.
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. Slated to start are Matt Garza for New York and Jae Weong Seo for Baltimore.
