Multi-HR Game for Clark in 8-4 Win
|
Miami center fielder Jack Clark had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Bronx Yankees, 8-4. Miami, at 68-89, sits in third place in the American League Down.
Mark DeRosa had a big 2-run single for the Marlins in the bottom of the first inning. With Miami leading 2-1 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Matt Young and stroked the single to center. It was his 75th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Marlins ahead, 4-1.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," DeRosa said.
