Expos Turn Back Milwaukee, 1-0
|
The Montreal Expos got a good effort from starter Paxton Crawford in defeating the Milwaukee Brewers at La Stade Olympique. The final score was 1-0. Montreal's record now stands at 66-88, placing them second in the National League Left.
The Expos got a big at-bat from right fielder Preston Ward. For the game, Ward went 1 for 3. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 133rd hit of the season gave Montreal a 1-0 lead.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Milwaukee skipper Michael Ejercito, "and it cost us."
