Cubs Jolt Expos with Late Rally
|
Chicago got a strong outing from Lary Sorensen as the Cubs defeated the Montreal Expos, 4-2, at Wrigley Field. The Cubs raised their record to 19-7.
Jim Gosger swatted a 2-run home run for Chicago in the bottom of the ninth. The center fielder went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
