Mets Get Win, Extend Streak to 7
The New York Mets picked up a win at Camden Yards, knocking off the Baltimore Orioles, 2-1. Starting pitcher Mickey Haefner, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Haefner got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 0 over 6.2 innings. Haefner allowed 1 earned run. The Mets, now 17-9, have been playing some good baseball.

It could have been a different outcome for New York, had it not been for Jerry Remy, the 15-year veteran . Remy contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put New York up, 1-0.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Haefner said.
