Rockies Come Back Late to Clip Brewers
|
Biff Pocoroba helped his team muscle past the Milwaukee Brewers, 7-5. In the game, the Colorado catcher was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Brewers fall to 9-15 and continue their uneven start to the 1969 season.
Pocoroba had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a first pitch curveball from Chuck Seelbach, he banged a 3-run home run to right-center, giving the Rockies a 7-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Pocoroba.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Pocoroba said in his postgame press conference.
