Red Sox Reel Off Another Win
Behind the bravura of left fielder Jim Gleeson, the Boston Red Sox topped the Brooklyn Dodgers by the score of 10-4. Gleeson went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Red Sox. Al Shealy got the win, improving to 2-3. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 7 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. The Dodgers drop to 9-13 and continue their inconsistent start to the 1969 season.

Gleeson came through with some timely hitting for Boston. With the score 0-0 in the top of the fourth and two down, Gleeson hit a first pitch curveball for a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season made it 3-0, Boston.
