Diamondbacks Lose, 2-1, at Wrigley Field
|
Chicago starter Lary Sorensen pitched effectively against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Wrigley Field. The right-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. With their winning streak at 7, the Cubs have raced to a strong start this season.
David Ross tagged a home run off Kent Peterson in the bottom of the third. His 2-run blast put the Cubs on top, 2-0. In all, Ross had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Arizona skipper Alex Baxter, "and it cost us."
