Mets Win at Baltimore, 3-2
|
The Mets had to overcome a fine performance from Baltimore pitcher Noah Syndergaard to grab a 3-2 win at Camden Yards. Syndergaard allowed 3 earned runs over 8.2 innings. Al Hrabosky got the save, his 19th in 24 chances. New York leads the American League Up by 5½ games.
It could have been a different outcome for New York, had it not been for Eric Karros, the five-time All-Star . Karros contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put New York up, 2-0.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Karros. "And not try to do too much."
