Dodgers Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Milwaukee
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers downed the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-3, at Ebbets Field. Kevin Bell led the way, going 2-for-4 for Brooklyn. Brooklyn starter Greg Mathews was credited with the win after throwing 99 pitches over 9 innings. His record now stands at 9-14. The win puts the Dodgers at 61-78, while the Brewers drop to 51-89.
Bell had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Dodgers went on to win.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Bell told the Brooklyn Gazette.
