Marlins Solve Brewers, 5-2
|
Miami right-hander Jack Fisher made an effective start against the Milwaukee Brewers at County Stadium, leading his team to a 5-2 win. Max Leon was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 9 save opportunities. With the victory, the Marlins record now stands at 62-76.
It could have been a different outcome for Miami, had it not been for Andre Thornton, the former first round draft pick . Thornton contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Miami up, 2-0.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Fisher said.
