Berry Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Milwaukee in Walk-Off Win
|
Milwaukee Brewers starter Adam Eaton was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3. Milwaukee, now 47-86, holds last place in the National League Right.
The Brewers were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when center fielder Ken Berry turned a 2-1 curveball from Frank Carpin into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent a roar through the crowd and gave Milwaukee a thrilling 4-3 win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said St. Louis manager Doug Morton.
