McLain Now 8-7 After Subduing Orioles
|
Montreal Expos starter Denny McLain was in fine form against the Baltimore Orioles at La Stade Olympique, leading his team to a 4-0 win. The Expos are now 60-72, while the Orioles fall to 66-65.
McLain was in the zone all game. He frustrated Baltimore hitters while giving the Expos 8.1 innings of quality work. McLain threw 110 pitches, allowing 5 hits and getting 4 punchouts.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Andre Ivarsson.
