Enrique Hernández of the Chesterfield Royals proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Sub League 2 Most Valuable Player Award.

Hernández hit for a .340 average while collecting 136 hits, 23 doubles, 3 triples, 22 home runs, 95 RBIs and scoring 80 times.

He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Geronimo Berroa of the Madison Mallards finished second in voting, while Don Buddin of the Chesterfield Royals finished third.
