Gallagher 5-for-6 Against Barons Tuesday, September 11th , 2001 5 times is the charm -- at least for Jackie Gallagher. The Tulsa Swordfish left fielder tore up the Providence Barons to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Providence Grounds. The offensive onslaught from Gallagher powered the 11-3 Swordfish win. "Gallagher was a tough out," Providence manager said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure." Jackie Gallagher grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th. In the current season, Gallagher has put up a .243 batting average with 41 hits, 5 home runs, 15 RBI and scored 15 runs. |
